**What does a great Software Developer do?** We have various roles across our mainframe teams.
You could join the Mainframe Database Systems team, who maintain the system level database functionality including system level file access, dispensing and allocations, as well as the utilities that manage that.
You could also be part of the Mainframe Control program that manages all system level resources (except database) as well as mainframe hardware.
Our aim is to expose you to as much of the team as possible, learn about your current skills, strengths and interests and invest in your progression so you have a strong start to your career with us here at Travelport.
If you’re interested in learning valuable and high demand skills, this is the role for you! **What kind of work will you be doing?** - Provide operational and technical support on tasks - Design minor complexity components and implement them - Perform problem/ task isolation, analysis, research, and resolution of moderate complexity with minimum assistance - Troubleshooting and debugging **Who would do well in this role?** - Currently studying, or recently graduated in, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field - Strong English, written and spoken - Experience with C, C++, or basic Assembler language knowledge - Familiar with, or interested in, Mainframe, coding lifecycle, SAFe - Desire and Commitment to lifelong learning - invest in themselves to improve/ develop new skills - Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize requirements Don’t worry, we’ll teach you everything you need to know for you to be successful in your role.
