Security Architecture and Engineering Manager

The individual in this role will lead a team of cybersecurity architects and engineers, managing a geographically distributed group of professionals primarily based in Madrid and Malmö.

The manager will be responsible for defining and overseeing the implementation of cybersecurity strategies and technical capabilities, ensuring that Verisure’s technology projects embed security by design, and that security controls are built, tested, and evolved over time in line with the company’s security strategy and risk profile.

Collaboration and cooperation with the broader Technology organization at Verisure are paramount for success in this role.

Responsibilities of the role

Leadership and Management:

· Member of the InfoSec Management Team, driving and leading the discussion around security technologies and controls.

· Lead and motivate a geographically distributed team of cybersecurity architects and engineers, fostering collaboration between Madrid, Malmö and other locations.

· Ensure the team aligns with the company’s goals, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.

· Promote a collaborative work environment while supporting the professional development of team members.

· Sponsor key strategic initiatives to transform and improve the security posture in Verisure, leading from planning to execution, and ensuring an efficient use of resources.

Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering:

· Provide guidance and strategic direction regarding key design decisions, supporting the team in their day-to-day work as required.

· Ensure alignment with best practices and business needs by developing and maintaining rigorous architectural and engineering security frameworks.

· Own the roadmap and strategy around technical security controls in various domains, including application security, secure software and systems development lifecycle, endpoint detection and response, identity and access management, ransomware resilience, security service edge and zero trust, just to name a few.

· Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance the company’s cybersecurity posture, optimizing return on investment and operational complexity

Global Coordination:

· Work closely with teams in Madrid, Malmö and rest of locations, ensuring seamless communication and cohesion across locations.

· Collaborate with other departments in Verisure to implement global security strategies.

Compliance and Risk Management:

· Ensure the security architecture complies with local regulations and the company’s global policies.

· Lead risk risk management forums to identify, prioritize and follow up on security issues and risks affecting key assets in Verisure.

Experience and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity leader with a background in managing teams, ideally within a multinational environment that includes geographically distributed professionals.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in security architecture, engineering, and cyber risk management, along with a solid understanding of emerging technologies.

Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating effectively across diverse cultural and geographic boundaries, ensuring alignment among teams and stakeholders.

This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to navigate complexity, adapt to evolving environments, and maintain a strong, cohesive security posture across the organization.

Leadership and coordination skills are crucial to support our mission of establishing consistent, robust cybersecurity across all locations.

· Fluency in English (Must) (C1).

Swedish and Spanish would be an advantage.

· Availability to be on duty.

· Availability for occasional travel abroad.
