About We're looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our Integrations domain.

Your mission is to build the industry's most robust and scalable integrations platform, enabling seamless data flow between Lokalise and the hundreds of tools our customers rely on each day—from code repositories and design tools to content management systems.

You Will

Architect and Own:

Lead the design, development, and long‑term ownership of our core integrations platform and services, making pragmatic trade‑offs between velocity and maintainability.

Think Holistically:

Go beyond code to deeply understand customer workflows and business impact.

Ground every technical decision in a clear “why” that connects your work to the value we deliver.

Build the System:

Champion and implement practices that improve our entire development lifecycle.

Help build frictionless, automated pathways to production and use data (e.g., DORA metrics) to measurably improve delivery performance.

Elevate the Team:

Act as a force multiplier.

Through thoughtful code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge sharing, raise the skill level of the engineers around you and contribute to a culture where we are proud of how we build.

Lead in AI‑Powered Development:

Pioneer and evangelize the use of AI development tools within the team.

Discover and share workflows that accelerate our organization.

You Must Have

Deep Technical Craft:

7+ years building and operating complex, business‑critical backend systems.

Expertise in Node.js and comfort across our diverse stack, including a PHP monolith.

Integrations Domain Expertise:

Proven track record in integrations space, understanding webhooks, polling, event‑driven architectures, API versioning, and building scalable, multi‑tenant platforms.

Systems Thinking:

Strong grasp of backend building blocks – API best practices, message queues (RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS), relational data stores (PostgreSQL), and cloud services (AWS).

High‑Impact Judgment & Decision Quality:

Demonstrated ability to make sound technical judgments, drive research, prototyping, and clear technical design documentation (RFCs/ADRs).

Pragmatism over Dogma:

Ability to learn new technologies quickly and choose the right tool for the job, from PHP monolith to modern Node.js microservices.

A Commitment to Quality:

Testing, observability, and operational excellence are core to your craft.

AI as a Core Competency:

Mastery of AI‑powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) and passion for coaching others.

Leadership and Influence:

Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Articulate complex technical ideas and inspire others to adopt higher standards.

It’s a Plus If You Have

Experience building developer‑facing APIs or SDKs.

Experience contributing to or maintaining open‑source projects.

Familiarity with the localization domain and its technical challenges.
