The Engineering team

Tech Foundations area

Mission:

Tech Foundations enables Product Crews to experiment and ship product increments quickly, fostering product quality and reliability with security as a nonnegotiable attribute.

Developer productivity enhancements (e.g. local environment setup, monorepo tooling, custom CLI and dashboards) Design and development unification (e.g. Design System) Infrastructure enablement for product crews (e.g. hosting improvements, CI/CD) Security and compliance facilitation (e.g. authentication, database anonymization) Focus for 2025:

We will grow the team significantly to increase impact.

We aim to improve the quality of our foundations (infrastructure to code bases) and enhance our security stack and developer tools and processes.

Is this you?

We are looking for Mobile Software Engineers with 2+ years of mobile development experience to build world-class mobile experiences for our 880K+ members.

Develop and maintain our

Expo applications

serving members across iOS and Android.

Optimize

mobile performance, user experience, and offline capabilities .

Contribute to our

mobile platform foundations

and development practices.

Collaborate with designers and product teams to implement pixel-perfect, delightful mobile experiences.

Opportunity to mentor other engineers and lead crews (more details in this article).

Contribute to hiring and shape candidates’ hiring experience (improving our technical assessment process).

Qualifications

You have strong experience with

React Native

(2+ years preferred) or native mobile development with willingness to work with React Native and Expo.

You understand

iOS and Android

platform specifics and mobile app deployment processes.

You have experience building

member/consumer-facing mobile applications

at scale.

You're comfortable with

JavaScript/TypeScript

and React ecosystem.

Experience with

native module development

(Objective-C/Swift for iOS, Java/Kotlin for Android) is a plus.

You understand

mobile performance optimization

and can implement platform-specific solutions when needed.

You're familiar with mobile testing frameworks and debugging tools.

Self-starting and entrepreneurial.

Humble and still willing to grow (no matter your seniority!).

Collaborative, enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching.

Fluent in English (no need to speak French!).
