What you'll do

At Frekuent, we’re not just building payment solutions — we’re creating seamless experiences that move businesses and customers forward.

As our Mid-level QA Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our products deliver exceptional quality across backend, frontend, and mobile platforms.

You’ll combine hands-on testing with smart automation to keep our systems robust, reliable, and ready to scale.

What you'll be doing:

• Design, document, and execute test cases for web, mobile (iOS & Android), and backend systems.


• Validate requirements and spot ambiguities before development starts.


• Test and ensure quality across environments (dev, stage, prod).


• Coordinate with backend, frontend, and product teams to manage defects.


• Automate key test scenarios for APIs, frontend, and mobile (basic-intermediate level, with growth potential).


• Perform performance testing for critical endpoints.


• Validate integrations with third-party services (Zoho, payment providers, AWS SQS, etc.).


• Support functional documentation or product-related tasks during peak workload periods.

Who we’re looking for

• 2–4 years of experience in QA (manual and automation).


• Solid experience testing APIs, web, and mobile applications.


• Basic to intermediate automation skills with willingness to grow in this area.


• Strong experience with Python-based testing (Pytest) and tools like Postman.


• Exposure to frameworks like Cypress (frontend) and Appium (mobile) is a plus.


• Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines preferred).


• Experience in environments using Python, FastAPI, Django, DRF, SQL Server, Azure, and AWS SQS.


• Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).


• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working autonomously.


• Strong execution and problem-solving skills — you’re not afraid to tackle challenges head-on.


• Takes accountability and consistently owns the outcome throughout the process.


• Embraces feedback as an opportunity for growth.


• Naturally proactive, always looking for ways to move projects forward.


• Comfortable speaking up and proposing bold, creative ideas that add value.

While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

• Experience with performance testing tools.


• Familiarity with Azure or AWS QA environments.


• Previous experience in fintech or payment systems.
